What We Believe
This church accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice, and for the purpose of maintaining general unity in the Body of Christ, hereby adopts the following statement of fundamental truths:
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God, sufficient for Christian living.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in the triune Godhead; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in the blessed hope of His personal, visible return to receive unto Himself His blood-bought church that it may be with Him forever.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through the blood of Jesus Christ and the regeneration by the Holy Spirit which is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that water baptism is an outward, public demonstration of an inward change of heart and faith in the crucifixion, buried and risen Saviour.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life in this present world.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved will remain with Christ and receive everlasting life and the lost will be separated from Christ to endless torment.
